Our Books

We’re authors! I say we because it takes the collaborative effort of my husband and I to produce these books. I’ve spent countless evenings and early morning clacking away on my laptop keys, sometimes awaking my hubby. For the most part, I’m the writer and hubby is the publisher, handling all background and technical work. So, let’s get to it. What are our books about?

Our Loved by You series consists of 3 books in the YA genre. These stories explore the four stages of love, with each book ending with an emphasis on the highest form of love: Agape, which is unconditional love.

Back to You, book 1, is the backstory to how Clove and Jonah’s friendship evolved into something more. The story is narrated by 17-year-old Clove Daniels who experiences a loss so deep that it renders her numb. She’s mad at the world, God and the person she believes is most responsible for her mother’s death: herself.  Clove is seeking to move beyond her good-girl ways but Jonah Jourdan sees Clove struggling to keep it together. With every wrong turn Clove makes, he’s there to lend her his hand, making her smile and feel again. Clove finds herself coming back to Jonah every time. The two begin to find love and comfort in each other in a way they never expected.

In Better Together, book 2, Clove is moving to Las Vegas with her father. She’s sad that she’ll be leaving her best friends behind, specifically Jonah.  She and Jonah are not sure if a new relationship could survive the many miles that will be between them. They make a decision to only be friends, but find that decision hard to abide by, especially once Jonah receives surprising news from his family. When each of them is faced with trials, temptations, and challenges, they discover that two is better than one and they are better together.

In First Love-Book 3, Jonah and Clove are two best friends undeniably in love. The couple is given the name “J.love” by all who know them. Other couples come to them for advice because they are crushing it in relationship goals. Jonah is modest, witty, patient, thoughtful and talented but the more humble he is, the more attention he receives. Girls seem to flock to him no matter where he goes and even more so after a top music executive offers him a recording contract. Jonah has to decide what’s more important to him: a life of good grades, scholarships, church, and a loyal girlfriend or fame and fortune laced with a path of sex and greed.
